We are surrounded by survival rates and clinical data, but what happens when we pause and listen to the person behind the number? This film is my attempt to bridge the gap between the statistical reality and the human experience, to find the stories that get lost in the charts.

I spent time as a volunteer, not with a camera, but with a purpose to understand. This allowed me to build the trust necessary for two courageous individuals — a 38-year-old woman with lung cancer and a 64-year-old man with esophageal cancer — to share their intimate stories with me. My goal was to weave their personal journeys with the overarching statistical narrative.
